Today was an interesting day for sure. Being Wednesday, January 30, 2008. At 8:15 am, I had to drop my car off to the car dealership. The power steering went on the car on Sunday, and it was becoming a total pain to drive. I am glad that I got it in the shop this week. There was a recall on part of the steering, and since the car is at 35, 518 miles, I was hoping either the warranty or recall would take care of it. Lucky for me, it did. The bottom hose had been a recall, and there was a huge blowout hole in the hose. They fixed it, and god does it drive easy now. My windshield washer pump had quit working as well, so I wanted them to fix it. Well, that was just a simple fuse. Woo Hoo!!!
It was freezing rain this morning, and I had to go to college, “University” and have classes today, and have a study group today. Monday and Wednesday are my busy days, while Tuesday and Thursday are a little easier, but Friday is the breeze day. I had US history 2 at 9 am. I take computer notes in that class. Therefore, since my laptop had a dead battery-I had to plug it in. This class is easy for me, more like a high school review, and not a new information class. This class is from am to 10 am. We usually get out by 9:45. I had free time until 11am-which is my accounting class. This course is intensive work, but easy to do. We took a quiz, and it was for in class practice. I found a mistake that the professor made, and helped two students with problems they had. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I have a study group that gets together to do the work, and learn from one another.
At 12:00, noon, I had a student outreach committee meeting. I had that until 1pm. The meeting was not much fun today-too many distractions.
At 1 pm, I had my second study group, which is business management study group. We get together on Monday’s and Wednesdays to analyze Harvard cases, and come up with problems and solutions. Today, we started having to do presentations in class. Four people per week. I was number four today. The professor and some students said I did an excellent job. That was nice to hear.
I picked my car up from the dealership around 2pm, and had until 3:30pm for my next class. I got some gas, and cigarettes, and went back to the university and hung out chatting with some classmates. It was interesting. Then I had my business management course.
Jenn and I went to Bonanza for dinner. It was ok, but I got very sick, and have not had a good evening. I guess it is what you would expect if your liver were not working right.
Well, for anyone reading this, occasionally, I will just blog about the day. I will try to keep you up to date with what is happening in my boring life in Northern Maine. This will be all for this time. Hope you did not fall to sleep reading.
well, it sure sounds like you had a busy day. Glad to hear the car issues were resolved and it sounds like classes are going well for you as well as life around campus. Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well-hopefully tomorrow will be a better day… “)
