Life an awfully big Adventure
Time ticking by, slowly at first
Ticking faster and faster as the days elude
Where has my childhood departed?
The days of youth, given way to
A life elapsed of adventures
Seldom an adventure, a plan upheaval
Where has time passed on?
Sadness surrounds as forgotten opportunities
Arrive within our memories, once begotten
Survival, nothing benefited, nothing gone astray
In the [...]

Today
I felt a fear
Wiped away a tear
Opened my world
To friends unfurled
Touched a heart
That is a start
Gave a smile
It will last for miles
Leant a shoulder
Tears of the holder
Giggled at a joke
Shared in hope
I saw a friend
IT is a wonderful trend
I wrote a thank you
And a how do you do
Shared a smile
Chatted for a while
My day is [...]

Unadulterated in honor
Sharing beyond doubt, a passion
Compassionate and sharing
Until the end of time, there to lean on
Cheerfulness and smiles, a willing donor
Memories assembled upon legions
Tender a hand, trusting and caring
Vastness between, but feelings not gone
In the midst of a friend, never a loner
Intimacy of knowledge, always in season
Desolation by no means nearby, fend for while [...]

Waking up to another beautiful day
Where adults smile and children will play
Time to make some java
Look at the news, it really does not matter
Stumble to the computer room
This early, there is no vroom, vroom.
One eye only half opened
Looking at the computer, your quiet friend
Checking your e-mail
Looking at those numbers swell
Click to your favorite location
It is [...]
What do you truly see?
Posted in poetry, tagged compromise, life, misery, original writing, poetry, real me, what do you see on December 29, 2007 | 1 Comment »
When you glance at me, what do you truly see?
The gentleman that I once sought after to be
Otherwise the man that I comprised to become
Some time ago being so full of life and vitality
Now just a body, no spark, no internal light
Is it the man who is having inner plight?
Whatever happened to the man I [...]
While I sit here

While I sit here and contemplate
It hurts to perceive such hate
My heart goes out to those who must
For in love they can surely trust
Life gives us so little time
There is no reason or rhyme
In a life full of sadness
Allow in a little kindness
Hurting another helps you not
The true suffering inside you
They have not brought
Life can [...]
with age

With age wisdom doth appear
Timeless in its ability to create a path
The kiss of death to that which beholds
Life as it is given in life not fear
Not counted in trinkets, not in what one hath
Solemnly quiet, glory in its hands whilst hold
Knight me in armor, offer me shelter
Nothing offered, nothing more sought
Honor, and wisdom, in [...]

Would God be hateful if he was here?
Would God describe people as worms?
Would he allow hatred to rule his day?
Would hatred be in the words he would say?
No I believe God would be loving
Would God be secretive and conniving?
Would he walk away another
Would God try to hurt a sister or brother?
Would God be offering vengeance [...]
Yearn to see the sunrise in all of her grandeur?

Yearn to see the sunrise in all of her grandeur?
Will the waters of the seas caress the sanding shores?
Shall the morning birds sing their song?
Pine for the knowledge that we truly belong?
Longing for the breeze of an afternoon shower?
Bequeath life to one individual dying flower
Longing for the flaccid petals of time
Confer on us reason, offer [...]
